Komen Wichita Race for the Cure

Race for the Cure is held every September at Towne East Square Mall parking lot. Rusty Eck Ford, a Diamond sponsor, will be there in full force with a booth located beside the Warriors In Pink (Ford Motor Company). Rusty Eck Ford sponsors an 'afterparty' to celebrate the days activities and a chance for all participants to have some one on one time with each other and learn more about the cause.

Whose Life Are You Running For? Participate in the Annual Susan G Komen Wichita Race for the Cure and show everyone whose life you are running for. Are you running for your mother, your sister, a co-worker, a friend? Are you running for your own life? Or are you running for the future? No matter whose life you are running for, now is the time to get involved and run for their life!!

Why Race? Because every 69 seconds a life is lost to breast cancer.

What is the Race? An opportunity to raise critical funds and awareness, celebrate survivors and honor those who have lost their battle.

Who can participate? Anyone! Join as a runner, walker, volunteer, donor or sponsor.

Where does the money go? Up to 75% of the money raised serves women in the 95 counties in Kansas served by the Mid-Kansas Affiliate. 25% funds global research to find the cures.

In 2012 there were 9,500 participants and raised about $500,000 with this event, and we need your help each year to reach the goals!
